Health behavior and health equity
My MPH in Health Behavior and Health Equity is critically designed to re-imagine mental healthcare both locally and globally. I am particularly focusing on creatively and radically re-imagining approaches to suicidality and suicide prevention.
Latin American and Caribbean studies
My life and lived experience as a Watson Fellow and Fulbrighter in Buenos Aires, Argentina afforded me the opportunity to become fluent in Latin American Spanish. In 2022, I visited São Paulo, Brazil and felt the call to learn Brazilian Portuguese. I am currently a B2 speaker and intend to continue my language study into the 2024-25 academic year.
Global Health Equity
Summer 2024, I will collaborate with Michigan’s Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) on the following project: “Situating Knowledge-Making Infrastructures of Global Mental Health: An Interdisciplinary Ethnography of Maternal Depression in Esmeraldas, Ecuador.”
